Vinyl/Video Madness!
I just picked up Queen II on vinyl which is a amazing album. The remastered/reissued version is spot on, and well worth the purchase. This album is more progressive then later releases, and far more whimsical. Fairies and Ogres all the way!
Reissued: October 28, 2008 Label: Fontana Hollywood
Standout tracks ~ Father to Son, White Queen, Nevermore, The March of the Black Queen
This is another amazing album that I bought on vinyl that has been reissued. Elliott Smith - From a Basement on the Hill. Fans have noted this as not being his best album, but I disagree. It is more electric, has strings, and guitar fuzz which compliment the songs well, and gives the album a raw feel. It is well worth listening too, so take the time to check this out. Here is a lovely fan site with lot of information about Elliott and his music. http://www.sweetadeline.net/
Reissued: April 6th, 2010 Label: Kill rock Stars
Standout tracks ~ Pretty Ugly, A Passing Feeling, Shooting Star, Twilight, Don't go Down
I was lucky to see Pantera at Ozzfest in 2000, and it was a damn fine show! The "wasted energy" of later Pantera shows is contagious. Pantera's Reinventing the Steel is a no frills, heavy metal album. Snatch it!
