Crash Course: Shannon Hoon

Shannon Hoon was the singer for the band Blind Melon. The band was popular from the early to mid-nineties.  Shannon Hoon had a soft and soothing voice and it brings back memories of being a teenager. The first two albums are wonderful and worth listening too. The music seems to fit rainy days quite well. Recommend songs: Soup, Changes, I Wonder, Tones of Home, and of course No Rain.

Shannon Hoon died October 21, 1995 from a drug overdose at the age of 28

Beer Me!

This is a recent gift my friend brought to me. Thank you! The beer has flavor and appeal. . I never thought a pink elephant good be so captivating, but I was wrong. The ABV is 8.5% which is respectable. Nothing ground breaking, but worth trying. Go ahead and touch the pink elephant I won't tell.

Crash Course: Waylon Jennings

Waylon Jennings is more rock then most people realize. Waylon started out playing bass for Buddy Holly, thus cementing his rock/country status. Waylon is the man that gave his seat to Buddy on that ever tragic night. He was an amazing singer in his own right, and well worth listening too. I prefer his older music (mid 60's) he has a fantastic voice, and shouldn't be missed! Recommended: The House Song, Nashville Rebel, Green River, Silver Stallion (The Highwaymen), Something's Wrong in California

Waylon Jennings died of complications from diabetes on Febuary 13, 2002 at the age of 64
